AlaraApothecary is a luxury skincare company based in West London. The company was founded as part of the Alara Designs Group in 2013. Our ethos is  producing premium products which are made in the UK, using locally-sourced packaging and labour.

We make our creams, lotions and oils in-house in London, using the finest quality ingredients and essential oils. They are then hand-poured and beautifully packaged, ready to introduce some gorgeousness into the lives of our clients. Our products are free from Parabens, Methylisothiazolinone and Sulphates. Our formulas have been devised by the owner, a practising Pharmacist-Prescriber whose special area is Dermatology. Luxury skincare made from natural ingredients which are kind to the skin is our first priority.

The idea for the products had been germinating for many years; the final inspiration for setting up the business followed several visits to Italy (Florence in particular), Nigeria and a year-long course at the KLC School of Design in Chelsea Harbour.

Looking at the manner in which naturally-manufactured lotions and potions are still widely used in Africa and mainland Europe provided the impetus for fun-filled messy experimantation which involved roping in extremely patient friends and family members as guinea-pigs. These richly-scented skin-smoothing lotions, oils and creams are the fruits of that exhausting and exhaustive process. We hope you enjoy using them.
