Dear readers, sorry I dropped out of circulation for a while there. It has been a pretty busy, not to say, stressful month. I had to make a guerilla visit to Florence on a mission of mercy. Yes, I know: if you have to go on a mercy mission, Florence is not a bad destination. Stay with me.
The year has started off at full pelt, not quite sure how that happened. What happened to the lull after Christmas? I’ve had a gazillion things to do from setting up the Amazon store to the constant posting on Instagram. My PA needs a PA.
Happy 2019 to all our readers and the first day of the Alara sale, offering 20% off across the board on all orders received by 31st of January. Yes, I watched ‘Coming To America’ at Christmas, and since then I’ve been annoying everyone by exclaiming ‘Merry New Year!’ in a grandiose manner.
Another year has sped past and in the midst of all the rancour and strife, as always, there has been light in the darkness. Rather than going on one of my rants, I think it’s better for me to dwell on all the good that the year has brought so many of us, and to sympathise with all who have faced loss this year.
So there we were in Harrogate, me and my beautiful assistant Tolu. She’d come down from Uni in Manchester to give me a hand on the first day. We hustled to the exhibition hall at some ungodly hour i.e 8am (I’m most definitely an owl, not a lark……), lugging all the decorative items my most excellent niece had brought from London on her way to Ripon.
