Holiday π π π
Zhongshuge bookshop, Guiyang, China. Be still my beating heart. I’ll just put a little camp bed in one aisle and I’m all set. What a beautiful space; Li Xiang, architectural genius, I salute you.
Le Mistral gift shop, Tokyo. If I could have my own store……….
Hello, pop pickers. Now, there’s a retro greeting for y’all. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while – it has been an absolutely mental couple of weeks but things have finally settled down. I’m a woman of leisure at the moment, apart from finishing the blasted photo images for this site. Tablets, perfect. Smartphones, perfect. Laptops, not so much. I had to stop because I lost the will to live. If any of you are expert at getting Woocommerce product images to stop being blurry, for the love of God, please get in touch. I have the week off and I was considering going away but 1) I’m too cheap to pay the Β£400 for a couple of days and 2) I can’t face the airport hullaballo. I don’t know why the eco-warriors bother with demos; just get the government (whoever they may be this week…) to make travelling even more unpleasant and we’ll all stay at home. I’ll mostly be staycationing in London. I may even get on one of those tourist buses and pretend I’m a tourist. I’ve always wanted a chance to heckle those guides just to see how long it’ll take to get thrown off the bus. I may run a sweepstake. ‘Great fire of London in 1666? Rubbish! Never happened’ Also, all my best material has been stolen by the press. I can’t even rely on the politicians, the satire pretty much writes itself. Michael Gove: Cocaine fiend. Way up there in the list of headlines even I couldn’t make up. It’s all too inevitable, isn’t it? Forget your bohemians and artists, they’re already high on life. It’s the middle-management types who hang with their Uncle Charlie and have swingers’ parties (just in case you wanted to know π ) It still makes me laugh when I think about it.
Apart from filling orders, I intend to devote this week to experimenting with diffusers. Plus, I’m working on a face cream/serum line and the testing is taking forEVER! I plan to read, and eat too much, and loll around watching old box sets. So, same as any other week then. PS: The Unit is really good; I’m watching that again. If not for my total lack of self-control, laziness, and insubordination, I’d have made an excellent Ranger.
In the spirit of Pentecost which was yesterday, although I cannot gift you the Holy SpiritΒ not being God and suchlike, I can gift you two excellent videos which cheered up the last gruesome fortnight. The one with the kittens almost made me go out and get one, which is totally amazing because even looking at pictures of cats makes me reach for the antihistamines π As for that ridiculously beautiful child, that’s just love at first sight, simple as that. Have an excellent week, preferably brightened with adorable happy children and animals. AlaraApothecary: we provide goodwill to all men (in the generic sense of course).
