Happy 2019 to all our readers and the first day of the Alara sale, offering 20% off across the board on all orders received by 31st of January. Yes, I watched ‘Coming To America’ at Christmas, and since then I’ve been annoying everyone by exclaiming ‘Merry New Year!’ in a grandiose manner. It’s the little things…. So, thank God we all made it to 2019 which I pray is going to be a dramatically better year than 2018 for all of us (in Jesus’ name, as per, of course) Actually, 2018 was pretty good, probably my best year for at least a decade, hurrah and huzzah.
One of the highlights was taking part in the Country Living Christmas Fair in Harrogate, and one of the highlights of that partaking was meeting other creative people and seeing their work. I’m featuring the work of some of my favourites in this blog. If you make products, there’s nothing more energising than hanging around with other like-minded people who view the world in a similar skew-whiff manner. My waking thought this morning was that artists use the very air which surrounds them as a prism, and that’s why they view everything just that little bit differently. They aren’t mad (OK, they’re mostly mad 🙂 ), they are just unable to see what and how everyone else sees because they were born with irremovable art-lenses. A really good artist can then find a way of illustrating what they see in a way that helps people to take a look at what life looks like with the art-lenses on. Without further ado, I give you:
A nice way to start 2019, I think you’ll agree. Have a fabulous year.
